Whip Mix Mounting Stone is a very hard, fast-setting ISO Type 3 gypsum material formulated specifically for mounting casts to articulators. Its very low setting expansion (0.08%) prevents inaccuracies in occlusal cast relationships that can occur with conventional model stone or plaster, and it offers excellent stacking qualities while remaining free-flowing under slight pressure during its 2-3 minute working time. It sets in approximately 5 minutes and can also serve as a model stone when a rapid set is required.
