Whip Mix Mounting Stone is a very hard, fast-setting ISO Type 3 gypsum material specifically formulated for mounting casts to articulators. Its very low setting expansion (0.08%) prevents inaccuracies in occlusal cast relationships, and it offers a short working time of 2-3 minutes with a 5-minute setting time. It can also be used as a model stone when a rapid set is required, providing high compressive strength (4,600 psi wet, 8,500 psi dry).
