HyFlex CM NiTi rotary files feature controlled-memory properties, allowing the file to closely follow the canal anatomy and reduce the risk of ledging, transportation, or perforation. The file is extremely flexible without the shape memory of conventional NiTi files, and it responds to excessive resistance by straightening its spirals, which prevents binding to canal walls and increases fracture resistance. Form adaptation can be reversed quickly through heat treatment (autoclaving or glass bead sterilization), returning the instrument to its original shape.
