Knit-Pak is a non-impregnated knitted retraction cord made of cotton, designed for tissue displacement and management prior to taking impressions. Its unique interlocking chains carry greater quantities of hemostatic solution compared to twisted or braided cords, and it compacts under pressure to pack easily into the sulcus. The cord resists fraying and popping out, and if touched by a bur, it cuts clean without entangling. The special cap includes a stainless-steel blade that cuts the cord when closing, helping to prevent cross-contamination.
