They retain approximately 50% of initial strength at 14 days and 20% at 21 days, with essentially complete mass absorption between 50 and 90 days. This 5-0 undyed braided suture is 27 inches long and supplied with a C-6 reverse cutting needle (3/8 circle, 19 mm), 12 per box; commonly used for periodontal flap, skin closure, OB/Gyn, urology, and gastrointestinal procedures.
