Prevantics Swabsticks are presaturated, ready-to-use skin antiseptic applicators containing 3.15% (w/v) chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) and 70% (v/v) isopropyl alcohol (IPA), the first FDA-approved CHG/IPA skin antiseptic. Each 1.75" x 6.5" swabstick delivers 1.6 mL of solution and covers approximately a 4" x 4" area, with a unique two-sided applicator for prepping around joints, interdigital areas, and skin folds. Clinically proven to provide persistent antimicrobial activity for up to 7 days, they are indicated for pre-operative and pre-injection skin preparation and meet CDC and APIC skin antisepsis guidelines.
