Consepsis Scrub is a lightly flavored 2.0% chlorhexidine gluconate antibacterial slurry that uses inert, finely ground glass as its abrasive instead of powdered pumice, which may contain impurities from volcanic ash. It is used to remove residual temporary cement and debris prior to permanent cementation, and scouring with this antibacterial prior to restoring helps minimize post-op sensitivity associated with microorganisms entering the dentinal tubules. The nonsplatter formula does not compromise bond strength and can be used with the STARbrush coronal brush prior to sealant placement or with the White Mac Tip; it is certified gluten free.
