It consists of a paper wick and a steam/temperature-sensitive chemical pellet in a paper/film/foil laminate. The pellet melts and migrates as a dark bar through an ACCEPT/REJECT window, providing clear visual confirmation that time, temperature, and steam quality conditions were met. Calibrated to the kill time of a 10^6 Geobacillus stearothermophilus spore population, it is ideal for use in pouches, packs, trays, and containers.
