HeliCOTE Absorbable Collagen Wound Dressing is a sterile, soft, white, pliable and nonfriable dressing made from collagen obtained from bovine deep flexor (Achilles) tendon. It is inherently hemostatic, helping to control bleeding, develop blood clots and protect the wound site so the healing process can begin, and is reabsorbed by the body within 10 to 14 days after placement. Commonly used in dental surgery for palatal donor sites and mucosal flaps, it is supplied as individually packaged sterile dressings measuring 3/4" x 1.5" (1.9 cm x 3.8 cm), 10 per package.
