Look Chromic Gut sutures are sterile, absorbable surgical sutures composed of purified connective tissue derived from the submucosal fibrous layer of sheep intestines or the serosal layer of beef. Each 4-0 suture is 18" (45 cm) long and is supplied with a C-6 reverse-cutting needle (3/8 circle, 19 mm) for general soft tissue approximation and ligation, including oral and periodontal surgery. Chromic treatment slows absorption, giving a resorption rate of approximately 10 to 15 days.
