Whip Mix Orthodontic Plaster is an ISO Type 2 super-white dental plaster developed specifically for orthodontic use, harder and whiter than ordinary plaster with a long working time and easy trimming. It mixes at a 37 mL water per 100 g powder ratio, offers a 7-9 minute working time and 14 minute setting time, and reaches 3,500 psi wet (1 hour) and 6,500 psi dry (48 hours) compressive strength with 0.20% setting expansion. For accurate, dense casts it should be mixed under vacuum, and finished models can be treated with Model Glow soap for a glossy surface. Supplied as a 33 lb (15 kg) carton, white, made in USA.
