Expasyl is a viscous, rigid gingival retraction paste that serves as an alternative to retraction cord. It is extruded directly into the sulcus to open it with minimal pressure, providing effective, atraumatic retraction for impressions, seating restorations, fitting rubber dams, and restoring cavities. The paste contains 15% aluminum chloride to control bleeding and crevicular seepage, leaving the field dry and ready for impression taking, cementation, or digital scanning. It works in 1-2 minutes and is easily removed with a gentle air/water spray.
