Whip Mix #6 casting wax is a hard inlay wax compounded for producing the finest dental inlays, with flow characteristics similar to Regular wax but physically harder for carving. Each box contains 12 sticks in assorted colors (blue, yellow, green, and red), 3 sticks of each color. The wax flows in the liquid state, softens over a flame or in 54-60°C (130-140°F) water, adapts to the cavity without crumbling, and carves smoothly without chipping or flaking; it conforms to F.D.I. Specification No. 4.
