GC Fuji IX GP Liquid Refill is the liquid component of the packable posterior glass ionomer restorative system, supplied in a 6.4 mL (8 g) bottle. The packable, dough-like, non-sticky formulation is easy to handle and place, can be condensed and finished with metal instruments, and offers high compressive and flexural strength with wear resistance about 60% higher than conventional glass ionomers. As a true glass ionomer it chemically bonds to tooth structure, has a tooth-like coefficient of thermal expansion, and releases rechargeable fluoride; it self-cures with roughly 2 minutes of working time and about 4.5 minutes total from start of mix.
