FenderWedge is a one-piece combination of a plastic wedge and a built-in 0.08 mm thin stainless steel protective plate that shields adjacent teeth and gingiva from bur damage during Class II preparations. The wedge pre-separates teeth by a few tenths of a millimeter and facilitates easy matrix placement for predictable contact and anatomic shape with no cervical overhang. Available in four color-coded sizes (X-Small 1.0 mm, Small 1.4 mm, Medium 1.9 mm, Large 2.3 mm), supplied as 36 wedges per pack; securing with waxed dental floss is recommended to avoid aspiration.
