Hibiclens Antiseptic Antimicrobial Skin Cleanser contains 4% chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) in a gentle, skin-cleansing base that bonds to the skin to sustain antimicrobial activity for up to six hours. It is less irritating than other antiseptics, non-flammable, and remains effective in the presence of blood, making it suitable for surgical hand scrubbing, personnel hand washing, preoperative skin preparation, and general skin wound cleansing. Its effectiveness increases with repeated use due to a cumulative effect.
