The container captures separated amalgam solids from the dental vacuum discharge pathway and should be replaced when solids reach the marked full line or after 12 months, whichever comes first. The kit includes the container, protective packing materials, shipping box, closure components, and return-shipping materials needed to route the collected amalgam waste to a certified recycling facility.
