The BD BBL Taxo VX Factor Sensi-Disc is a diagnostic sensitivity disk used for the differentiation of Haemophilus species and other fastidious organisms based on their requirement for V and X factors. Each cartridge contains 30 sterile paper disks impregnated with V factor (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, NAD) for use in the clinical microbiology laboratory. The disks are applied to inoculated agar plates to observe growth patterns and aid in organism identification.
