The House Brand Bowie Dick Kit is a Type 2 chemical indicator system for daily diagnostic monitoring of air removal and steam penetration in pre-vacuum steam sterilizers. Each kit includes 120 test cards (89 mm x 48 mm x 0.33 mm) plus one durable, reusable metal holder (133.2 mm x 72.4 mm base, 42.7 mm height) that secures the card on the sterilizer's bottom rack. The cards are designed for 134 °C cycles of 3.5 minutes and show a uniform color change from purple to green when the process is successful, while incomplete or heterogeneous color change signals residual air or an air leak. The indicators are 100% toxic heavy metal-free.
