Used in direct and indirect pulp capping, TheraCal LC is an effective insulator that protects the pulpal complex. The proprietary formulation is an excellent alternative to glass ionomer, calcium hydroxide, IRM/ZOE, and RMGI, among other dental restorative materials. TheraCal LC is resin-modified and calcium silicate-filled, releasing adequate calcium to mineralize the teeth for maximum protection. It has an alkaline pH, facilitating rapid healing and apatite generation. The light-cured material produces a durable radiopaque restoration comparable to natural teeth.
