Bisco TheraCal LC is a light-cured, resin-modified calcium silicate liner and pulp protectant used for direct and indirect pulp capping, as well as a protective liner under composites, amalgams, cements, and other base materials. Its proprietary formulation releases calcium ions and generates an alkaline pH that stimulates hydroxyapatite and secondary dentin bridge formation, promoting pulpal healing and remineralization. The material is moisture tolerant, radiopaque, and thixotropic, allowing precise placement in deep cavity preparations and immediate light-curing for same-appointment restoration. Each pack contains four 1 g syringes, providing approximately 12-15 liner applications or 20 direct pulp cap applications per syringe.
