The Prophy AirLite™ handpiece is a lightweight (2.6 oz) metal prophy polishing handpiece designed for hygienists, featuring a tapered, contoured profile for a relaxed hand position. It operates at a fixed 3,500 rpm to efficiently remove tough stains while minimizing gingival abrasion, and is super quiet and vibration-free. The handpiece accepts both Doriot-style metal and most disposable prophy angles via a secure friction grip push-fit mechanism, and requires lubrication and autoclaving at a maximum of 275°F (135°C). This item is the handpiece only; a swivel connector (3984-361) is sold separately.
