Vitamin K1 Injection (Phytonadione Injectable Emulsion, USP) is a sterile emulsion for subcutaneous administration, with each 1 mL ampule containing 10 mg of phytonadione. It is indicated for the treatment of hypoprothrombinemia and for prophylaxis and therapy of vitamin K deficiency bleeding. When intravenous administration is unavoidable, the drug should be injected very slowly, not exceeding 1 mg per minute.
