DERMABOND Topical Skin Adhesive is a liquid adhesive intended for topical application to hold closed easily approximated skin edges of wounds from surgical incisions, including minimally invasive surgery, and simple, thoroughly cleansed trauma-induced lacerations. It may be used in conjunction with, but not in place of, deep dermal stitches. The adhesive provides a microbial barrier with 99% effectiveness for 72 hours in vitro against organisms commonly responsible for surgical site infections.
