Pulpdent Paste is a premixed, non-setting calcium hydroxide paste containing 40% (±2%) calcium hydroxide in a viscous aqueous methylcellulose base. It is indicated for direct pulp capping, pulpotomy, pulpal curettage, and as an antimicrobial intracanal dressing between visits. With a pH greater than 12, it provides bactericidal and bacteriostatic action, is radiopaque for easy identification on radiographs, and supports apexification and treatment of periapical lesions.
