Hu-Friedy Perma-Sharp PTFE Monofilament Nonabsorbable Sterile Surgical Sutures are designed for efficient and reliable soft tissue closure in periodontal and oral surgical procedures. Each suture is a 3-0 white polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) monofilament, 18 inches (45 cm) long, attached to a C-6 reverse-cutting needle with a 3/8-circle curvature and 18.7 mm length. The smooth, biologically inert PTFE strand offers little to no package memory, excellent soft tissue response, and no bacterial wicking, making it well suited for aesthetic zones. Supplied as a needle-and-thread assembly, 12 per box.
