The Hu-Friedy #PKT-3R is a double-ended P.K. Thomas waxing instrument with a 3R round cone tip and a #41 round handle, used to apply and shape wax and to perfect and enhance supplemental and developmental grooves. It is similar to the PKT-3 but features a rounded tip instead of a pointed one for more precise, controlled wax application. Constructed of durable stainless steel, it should not be exposed to temperatures above 350°F/176.6°C, as repeated extreme heating and cooling may cause instrument failure or breakage.
