The Velopex AquaCare Twin is a dual-function air abrasion and air polishing unit that lets clinicians switch between two powder chambers in about one second, giving total control of powder, pressure and solution. It supports a wide range of applications including restorative dentistry, desensitizing, endodontics, orthodontics, periodontics, implantology, whitening, hygiene and paediatric care, using media such as 53μm or 29μm aluminium oxide, Sylc Bioglass, and sodium bicarbonate. The autoclavable anodised aluminium handpiece features a quick-release nozzle mechanism with stainless steel/tungsten carbide tips in 0.6mm (silver) and 0.8mm (gold), and a 3-stage foot control for powder/air/water, wash and dry. Unit dimensions are approximately 185mm H x 265mm W x 240mm D, weight 3.066kg, requiring clean dry air at 5–7 bar (72–100 psi) via a 6mm push-in fitting.
