2% Xylocaine provides anesthetic benefits for almost all dental procedures. The 1. 7 ml. cartridges with siliconized plungers facilitate steady movement and control to deliver a short 2. 5 hours of soft tissue anesthesia duration in infiltration or 3 to 3.25 hours for nerve blocks. The fast-acting solution takes effect 2-4 minutes after application. Xylocaine remains in effect for 55-65 minutes in infiltration for average pulpal and80-90 minutes in mandibular nerve blocks. Each cartridge comes in individual blister trays for reduced risk of breakage.
