The Solventum (formerly 3M) RotoMix Capsule Mixing Unit is a compact, high-precision digital amalgamator designed for fast, consistent, and reproducible trituration of encapsulated dental materials, including amalgam, glass ionomer, and resin-modified glass ionomer. It features a rotational/centrifugal mixing action with a counter-rotating capsule holder, delivering a homogeneous mix with reduced porosity. The unit offers pre-programmed and programmable touchpad settings, typical mixing speed of 2850 RPM, centrifuging speed of 2950 RPM, and extremely quiet operation (<65 dB).
