LOOK Chromic Gut sutures are sterile, absorbable monofilament sutures made from purified collagen-based connective tissue derived from the submucosal fibrous layer of sheep intestines or the serosal layer of beef. Each suture is 14" (35 cm) long, size 5-0, undyed, and supplied with a T28 taper point needle (18 mm, 1/2 circle, curved, round shaft, no cutting edge) for general soft tissue approximation and ligation, including oral and periodontal surgery. Chromic gut resorbs in approximately 10 to 15 days and is packaged 12 per box (reference 590B).
