GingiTrac MiniMix is a medium-viscosity, vinyl polysiloxane (VPS) gingival retraction system containing 15% ammonium aluminum sulfate (alum) astringent that gently displaces gingiva from the tooth and controls bleeding and seepage. The single-dose MiniMix cartridges are easier to express than an automix gun with less waste, and when used with GingiCap compression caps the mechanical bite pressure combines with the astringent action to achieve retraction in just minutes. The material cleans up easily and completely in one piece without tissue trauma, is compatible with all impression materials, and can serve as the second cord in a 2-cord technique.
