The GC America Exaflex Regular Clinic Package is a high-quality, medium-viscosity impression material designed for dental professionals requiring a bulk supply. Exaflex, a predecessor to the EXA Advanced line, is a hydrophilic vinyl polysiloxane (VPS) material with outstanding physical properties and handling characteristics. Its regular-body consistency makes it ideal for use as a tray material in a dual-viscosity impression technique, where it provides excellent structural support for a light-body wash material.This material has an extended working time of over two and a half minutes, allowing for ample manipulation and placement, especially for multiple quadrants or complex cases. This is paired with a "snap set" feature in the mouth, which reduces the time the material is in the patient's mouth and minimizes the risk of distortion from patient movement. Exaflex is also thixotropic, flowing smoothly under pressure to capture fine details without running. The material's high tear strength and dimensional stability ensure the final impression is accurate and can be poured up to two weeks later. This "Clinic Package" provides a cost-effective solution with 20 base and 20 catalyst tubes (74 mL each).
