Rubber Sep is a specialized release agent designed to prevent acrylic resin from shrinking and bonding to dental preparations and stone models during the curing process. When applied to stone models, it creates space between the prep and the inside of the provisional for proper cement space and prevents model breakage. When used intra-orally, it prevents the free monomer of the resin from harming the tooth, acts as a thermal barrier from curing heat, and ensures the resin will not attach to the tooth, making removal easier and preventing premature curing complications.
