This 5.4-quart sharps container is constructed of puncture-resistant and shatter-resistant polypropylene with a transparent lid for easy viewing of contents. The counterbalanced side-entry lid limits access to contents to help prevent cross-contamination and supports one-handed operation, making it ideal for safe disposal of needles, syringes, vacutainers, lancets, and blades. It is safe to autoclave or incinerate and meets or exceeds FDA standards, including OSHA and EPA requirements, for local biohazard waste-collection services.
